International telemed experts met in Vienna

International telemed experts met in Vienna

That was the Telemed symposium

Telemedicine is finding its way into the healthcare sector. The VI Institute brought international experts to Vienna in mid-November to explore the potential of new solutions together with national experts. Topics included telemedical developments in dermatology and pathology, emergency medicine and general medical care. Another topic was data protection.

About the conference

Key stakeholders at the Billrothhaus

Telemedicine is the future, but raises many questions. The symposium dealt with pilot projects, the legal situation, opportunities and risks, among other things. Experience reports from Germany and abroad.

Expertise, expertise, expertise

Stakeholders from medicine, politics and science (federal ministers, doctors, …) and international experts (Harvard, MIT, WHO, NHS) participated.

Everything about telemedicine

Discussed at the symposium: What is the legal framework for telemedicine? How is it remunerated? How can doctors and patients communicate securely and digitally?

Exclusive ambience

The symposium took place in the historic premises of the Billrothhaus of the Society of Physicians in Vienna. A place where medical history was written.
