Within the DermaVisio App project, we explored the extent to which moles can be captured and analyzed using only a smartphone, without any additional devices. The app compares the captured image with a medical database and provides a remarkably accurate preliminary assessment within seconds. In addition, it includes a diary function that helps users prepare for their medical appointments.

DermaVisio KIS is a research project exploring how AI-based image recognition can support medical professionals in their work. The VI Institute is taking telemedicine to the next level.
