VI Institute presents an innovative 7-day ECG chest strap at Buch Wien 2025

The VI Institute was represented at Buch Wien 2025. There, the team presented a novel chest strap for continuous ECG recording over seven days. This device can help detect atrial fibrillation— a common heart rhythm disorder—at an early stage. Thanks to special sensor technology, the wireless chest strap works without adhesive electrodes and can be worn comfortably in everyday life.

The innovative development attracted great interest from the fair’s visitors: A large number of information flyers were handed out in a short time, and many attendees asked questions about its use in modern preventive medicine. Particularly pleasing was the strong interest in the chest strap itself: Around 110 people examined the device, asked questions, and actively engaged with its operating principle.
